When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.
- Charles A. Beard
My take: Ok, I’ve been having fun with these lately, but this one actually says a lot, and I think it’s very important to maybe try to plant this little seed of a reminder: I truly believe you can not know how excessively blessed we all are unless you’ve seen adversity. To everyone it is different. What ever your comfort zone, what ever your tolerance…to go beyond and/or below your personal comfort is the only way to experience how comfortable you ARE. In the case of children specifically, Read more…

This is another amazing story of overcoming adversity, just like the Story of Jasmine, and once again, it is a canine that shows us the way…..
Be prepared to be amazed and awed at the courage, survival and strength this lovely dog has overcome!
This dog was born on Christmas Eve in the year 2002. He was born with 3 legs - 2 healthy hind legs and 1 abnormal front leg which need to be amputated.
He of course could not walk when he was born.

When all is said and done, more is said than done.

My take: This quote reminds me of my own philosophy on how to let someone know you love them. You can’t just ‘tell them’, you have to show them. Words are a dime a dozen and the easiest way to work your way into or out of any situation, to prove a point, etc. Words take little more than some breath and vocal cord spasms. Take One Inspiration And Call Me In The Morning
Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.
-Robert Louis Stevenson
My take: Each day is a new opportunity to do what you didn’t get around to doing the day before. It’s never too late to nurture your life or the life of someone who needs it. One tiny seed planted everyday is all that is required for a lifetime of rewards for you and the garden that Read More...
Your idea is out there, you just have to find it.
But how, you ask? Well, inspiration can come from just about anywhere, you just have to learn how to harvest it!
Here are the ways I pull ideas out of a couple of common sources.
1. Music - Every song tells a story, even pieces without words. All you have to do is close your eyes and visualize what the song is trying to tell you. Even better, find a music type that fits the mood of the project you’re working on and Read More...
You can not prevent the birds of sorrow from flying over your head. But you can prevent them from making nests in your hair. - Chinese Proverb
My take: I love this quote! But I think it would be better if it said it like it is though… maybe something more like ‘Bird poop happens but hats are generally impenetrable.’
Our attitudes should be just that…’impenetrable’. Or to break it down Read More...
