opera_miniOpera Mini is my new favorite app for my BlackBerry.  It seems like every week I discover a new way to make my BlackBerry even more helpful to my life!   Opera Mini is a web browser designed primarily for mobile phones and smart phones.  It is a free download available at http://www.opera.com/mini/ Opera mini processes and compresses web pages before relaying them back to the mobile phone.  This compression time makes transfer time about two to three times faster and the pre-processing makes the web pages more functional on Read more…

podcastMost of you who have read my previous articles know that I recently purchased a BlackBerry.  Now I’m not here making a public service announcement for this device, but I will tell you that it has opened up my world to a lot of new technology and information.

My latest find is Podcasts.  A podcast is a radio or video show for portable devices.  You can view these on your computer or your iPhone, iPod or BlackBerry.   It’s almost like subscribing to a syndicated show, but it’s free. Read more…
