I don’t ask for starry eyed bliss,
Just the taste of your sweet kiss,
Or the embrace I can’t resist,
For only that is what I’d truly miss.
I won’t ask for the sun or the moon,
Just the love that makes me swoon,
Wrapped up in this emotional cocoon,
In feelings that won’t leave too soon.
I don’t ask for reason or rhyme,
Just those tender moments of time,
That would never be denied,
And will live on long after we die.
I’d never asked for fortune or fame,
Just a love without any shame,
That can be attained and proclaimed,
For it is truly wildly untamed.
I don’t want your money or name,
Just want this heart to stay the same,
With a love that’s filled with desires flame,
For that’s all I care to lay on my claim.
