Dancing Around the Truth

9:03 pm September 29, 2009

We dance around the obvious truth,
Others see what we turn a blind eye to,
With wonder will we ever get a clue,
And let all this passion finally bloom.

With eyes full of loving desire,
And lips that ask for just one taste more,
This hunger has caused a building fire,
That will burn until time reaches forever.

From rooftops it should be shouted, Read more…

Do You Have a Shoe Obsession?

7:03 pm September 28, 2009

How many types of shoes do you own? If you are like many women, the number is a high one.
We woman can become very possessive about our shoes. It is one of the few things that we splurge on, and we usually have more than one pair that looks similar.
I have done quite a bit of my shoe shopping online, after having done the research on the best sites to purchase shoes online. And I have a huge variety of styles because I have not limited myself to the shoe stores we have locally. My styles vary from casual to really dressy shoes, that can take me from the weekend sneaker to the stiletto heels that I wear on a night out. Read more…

resume-pile1Part 6: Interviews: You look the part…now what do you say—and not say?

So, you’ve got your hair cut, your interview outfit chosen, and the date and time are set. What else do you have to do to prepare for that all-important interview?

Well, you are going to need to bring some paper work with you. If you do not have a nice portfolio, go to a stationer’s store and buy a plain, inexpensive one to carry your documents. You want to look neat and tidy, and carrying a bulky briefcase won’t Read more…

Feeling You Feel Me

8:12 pm September 25, 2009

I love you dearly, and this I think you know. But I wonder if you know the yearning way I want you so.

Like when you are near, how my body awakens and what I want has never been so clear.

Do you know that it’s enough just to think of you and suddenly my sensuality feels brand new.

I breathe deep and close my eyes… I feel you near me as I try to concentrate through excited sighs.

My hands become yours, firm and slow. I’m feeling you feel me and I Read More...

resume-pile1Part 5: Interviews: what they see means more than you think!

I am always amazed at people who go through all the work to secure a job interview, but put no effort into preparing for the interview itself…it’s kinda like making detailed preparations for a big wedding but making no preparation for the marriage itself!

Conventional wisdom says you should “wow” them…you should look like a page out of Vogue or GQ, you should look chic and dazzling and Read more…

Locked Closets

8:21 pm

There’s a skeleton in the closet,
And it won’t ever come out,
It haunts the darkness in whispered shouts,
Taunts the mind when the quiet mounts.

It’s bones rattle when silence abounds,
Screams the loudest when no one’s around,
Mournful cries leave an empty sound,
Secrets that would haunt if spoken aloud.

Hidden heartbeats threaten to reveal,
Past deeds that are best concealed,
Mired in nightmares that Read More...

Life With Irving

7:42 pm September 21, 2009

Ah, the summer of 2009. This was the first season that we took our RV-ing rather seriously and made consistent family outings in the 34 foot Coachman Aurora that we called home for days at a time. When first approached by Scott with the prospect of family camping, I was more than a little bit skeptical. My family history included not tents, campfires and open air cooking, but rather charming hotels, visits to historical landmarks and sampling local cuisine. My parents were decidedly not campers.

Scott, on the other hand, savored joyous family memories of camping, chasing fireflies, catching fish that was doomed to be family dinner and non-stop outdoor fun. In theory, it all sounds Read more…

This Week in Politics

He did so in many ways, from taking his case from the heart of Washington out on the road to Minneapolis, Minnesota where a fired up crowd showed their hunger for the reform. During his speech the President chose to rise above the noise, and the misinformation, and pettiness that his opponents have blown it way out of porportion about this reform. Hollywood and Hard Men

viagraHollywood has long been known to have the best looking men in the world, but did you know that some of these men rely on the little blue pill known as viagra?  Yes, celebrities buy viagra and use it, and some are even open and candid about it!  Take Enrique Iglesias, yes, you heard me right!! Even though he is in his 30’s, he admitted on a tv show “I don’t like Viagra. I need Viagra.” Now this can maybe be attributed to the trend going around young Hollywood these days that if you take other drugs, your performance may not be up to speed, so therefore, if you Read more…

Lost Muse

I can’t write,
Just fight and scream,
My words have taken flight,

Where have all the words gone,
The pen makes no more demands,
My soul has lost it’s song.

But none fall on the page,
