The world has lost a legend today… Michael Jackson was pronounced dead earlier today after being found unconscious and unresponsive at his home. Paramedics tried to revive him with CPR after finding no pulse, but they couldn’t get a pulse back.
He was transported to UCLA Medical Center where they worked on him again to try to regain his heartbeat and a pulse, but they never could revive him or get a pulse.
It is believed that he died of cardiac arrest. I’m sure that will either be confirmed or disputed once all the results are in, but the fact remains, we have lost Michael Jackson…
Thank goodness we still have his music that will live on forever!! I personally will never forget him as “Little Mikey” of the Jackson 5, and remembering how powerful his voice was even back then! I really liked so many of their early songs, and I followed him when he went onto his solo career. I especially liked the “Thriller” album, that is my favorite, and I think he was at the top of his game at that time with hits like Billie Jean and PYT and Thriller. There are way too many to mention, but I have them on my IPod.
Then he started to change, and when he did, I lost interest, and thought he got a little too “out there” for me. I didn’t like his music at that time, and his appearance was just strange. Then he married Lisa Marie Presley….then divorced her and in the same year married an unknown named Debbie Rowe, who bore his children! That was just a little too messed up for me to follow. And the hanging the child over the balcony was the last straw for me.
I haven’t really followed him for years, so I don’t know much about him lately, except that he was just getting ready to start his comeback tour. Janet and I were just talking about it, and we heard that the tickets for his shows sold out immediately!! That shows you that he still has loads of fans out there that love him and want to see him perform.
He will surely be missed……..
RIP Michael, I hope you find peace now.

I grew up in the 80s with Michael’s music and have wondered in the last few years what would become of him in his old days. If he would find his peace. If there ever would be a happy ending to all of the misery. And now he is dead, I feel that he really stepped out of the story of his life before it reached a climax and that there was no conclusion to anything at all.
Let’s remember him as he was at the height of his career.

It’s so sad to hear about Michael Jackson. As a dancer, I’m performed almost every one of his hits in some form or another. A lot of celebrities have died recently, but he’s the first one that had a big impact on my life personally. It’s a really weird feeling. Anyway, nice post.
