Busy women are often tired, but they have so much to do they don’t have time to slow down. They’re too busy busy taking care of everything and everyone else to take a little time for themselves. This often leads to unwanted stress, unhealthy habits, and feeling down and sluggish.
Time management is something that goes out the window when it comes to pampering ourselves, but if we can manage other tasks well, taking a little time for us shouldn’t take an act of congress or interfere with our daily schedule.
These little tricks are simple, easy to do and will help you feel refreshed in no time.
Suffer from lower back pain? A simple solution could be to lower your stress levels.
Cortisol, the evil little stress hormone that adds fat to the midsection can also cause back pain. Stress hormones cause inflammation and tension in the back.
Try listening to some relaxing music for at least half an hour each day. Studies suggest that 25-30 minutes of soothing music can lower your stress levels by up to 25%.
You can listen to music during your commute home from work; this is especially helpful if you live in an area where rush hour traffic is madness. You can also listen to music while doing evening chores, cooking supper, etc. Try turning off the news or anything else on the TV that you normally listen to during these times and just listen to some good music. It really works!
Slow down the aging process. Having a busy lifestyle can run you ragged and ages you quicker than you want to. Antioxidants help combat the aging process but the downside is, our bodies don’t always absorb them the way it should. One quick tip to help your body in the absorption process is to add a pat of butter to your steamed vegetables.
Using butter or olive oil can help double the absorption rate of antioxidants. Research also shows that using butter may help stabilize blood sugar levels, reduce insulin resistance and increase fat burning.
I suggest using real butter as opposed to margarine. If you check the labels you’ll find that you can pronounce all two ingredients in butter compared to the chemical makeup of some compounds in margarine.
Combine multi-minerals to feel better and help stave off colon cancer. Supplementing the minerals calcium, magnesium, zinc and iodine together can reduce the risk of colon cancer by 32% and they will also help fight fatigue and tiredness.
Add a nice stretch three times a day. Taking just two minutes out of your busy day for each stretching session can raise your oxygen levels which helps fight fatigue.
You should also practice deep breathing to fill your lungs with oxygen. Deep breathing exercises can be practiced anywhere at anytime (while cooking and listening to those cool tunes I mentioned earlier).
Being busy doesn’t have to mean you live a stressed-out life or that you can’t get some healthy benefits eased into your daily routine. Just take a few minutes to incorporate these few tips and you’ll feel much better.

Great article with really good suggestions. I like the line about the ingredients in butter as opposed to margarine, so true.
