Soy Candles and Candle Making

soy_candle_testingSoy is a premium choice when it comes to selling candles online and at home.

Many choices from honest and reliable candle suppliers make it very difficult to find the one wax that is best for all candles. You have pillar, votive, tea light, and jar candles, not to mention several other more difficult and unique soy candles. I have recently tested all kinds of soy candle ingredients to make my triple scented soy candles which I want to be high in fragrance. Each test is my own and based on my special way of testing candles. Keep in mind if you as a candle maker, test candles and candle ingredients these tests may not give an end result that is right for you.

Testing my soy candle ingredients before I sold my candles was fun but required a lot of time. I had to buy several small quantities of different soy candle ingredients first to find the right ones for my soy candles. Today, thanks to the hours spent watching, smelling, tallying, phone calls, and searching the internet, I have found my own soy candle mix for making richly and triple scented candles to sell online to candle lovers who enjoy soy candles.

It took me weeks and even months to find the right soy ingredients which may still work with my paraffin candles. You see I want to offer choices when offering highly fragranced candles. This will be very difficult to do because I will have to keep everything separate when making my candles and offering them to buyers. It can be done. I will have to remember to keep a great customer service attitude which means keeping the line of communication open to the candle lovers who enjoy choices. Most candle lovers already know what they want, when they want it, and what price they want to spend, on the finished fragranced candle.

For my soy fragranced candles, I chose a biodegradable soy wax mix which is better for our environment and means easier clean up for you as a fragranced candle buyer. The wax itself is made with one hundred percent natural ingredients. This wax is a healthier choice for you as a candle lover.

My wicks will remain cotton core, even thou there is no difference when I tested my soy candles except that the zinc core wicks did make my soy candles burn faster because they burned hotter than cotton core wicks. Cotton core wicks proved more burning time for you as a candle user. Both zinc and cotton core wicks tested clean as to the amount of burnt, black, left over, wick pieces, in all of my soy candles tested. You won’t have to trim your wicks as much when enjoying these soy candles. Candle color is tricky when making soy candles as opposed to making paraffin based candles. I will use the same color in my soy candles but I will have to mix the color better. I will have to constantly stir my candle mixture at higher temperatures and then cool the mixture down before adding the highly fragranced candle oil which is made for use in soy candles.

All test results prove that I can achieve a rich yet triple scent in my soy candles that will have candle lovers coming back each and every time for a wonderful candle experience.

Thanks for this post. I have a hard time finding good content
related to this subject when searching most of the time.

I also run a blog similar to yours and here’s part of one of my
    recent posts…

Gel candles can be made in a variety of holders. Using those made of glass will give you the best results. However, as long as the container is non-flammable you will be fine. To add uniqueness to gel candles, some makers choose to make them in fancy glasses, wine glasses, and vases. To add color and themes to candles, consider using embeds. This can be glitter, marbles, colorful rocks, sea shells, crystals, or anything else that won’t burn.

Check it out and let me know what you think…
