I am saddened and sickened by the news that Rihanna and Chris Brown have reconciled. That’s right, they are back together again, and supposedly are staying in Miami in a home owned by hip hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
There are also rumors sweeping across the internet that Rihanna is pregnant with Chris’ baby, and that is why she wants to get back with him, for the sake of the child!?! Really?? That is all the more reason NOT to go back to him…if he knew and hit her while she was pregnant…?? why would you want to be with him?? It would be obvious that he cares nothing for the safety of the child or the mother, so I am completely baffled?? Hopefully, this is just one of those wild rumors…and there is no poor child involved.
Now, outraged fans of the singers Chris Brown and Rihanna expressed their dismay on Saturday on boards all across the internet. They were upset at the news that the couple had reunited just three weeks after Brown was alleged to have assaulted her.
Celebrity magazines People and Us Weekly said that the R&B stars were spending time together, and that Rihanna’s father was supporting her decision. This is what her dad said:
“I love my daughter with whatever road she takes. I’m behind her win or lose. I will be supportive. If that’s the road she wants to choose, I’m behind her,” Rihanna’s dad Ronald Fenty told Us Weekly from his Barbados home.
I myself and lots of fans cannot believe this news, especially with it coming only a week after the picture, showing the 21-year-old Rihanna with bruises to her face and swollen lips. The picture made me sick then, and it still does.
This is not the example I was hoping that she would show to all the young girls who look up to her, idolize her and adore her!! She is basically showing them that it is alright to be hit, and abused, and you don’t leave them, you just endure and get back together!! I am appalled at her, her family, her managers and her friends, for not taking a stand against abuse when she had the chance. This would have been a powerful ally to have on our side, in defense of not only young women, but abused and battered women everywhere! I am disgusted with her right now!
Now that she has gone back to him, she will endure in silence. It won’t stop, we just won’t hear about it, because wouldn’t that be too painful…the press would have a field day if it happened again. No, I think she will suffer at the hands of Chris Brown and no-one will be the wiser, unless she ends up dead.
I believe this will also affect her career and her record sales. Hopefully the young women of today realize what is right and what is wrong, and obviously Rihanna is not the example to follow. She will realize it too, someday. I already know that Chris Brown’s career is dwindling, and his endorsements are out the window….so he will have alot to be angry about, now won’t he?? The only people celebrating here, are the women abusers, they feel like they have won a battle, and the comments on the boards are absolutely sickening!!
“They care for each other. While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves,” a source told People magazine. Ughhhh…..I don’t know who the source is, but I’m sure he thinks this makes him look really, really good!!
Los Angeles prosecutors have’nt decided yet on whether to file charges against Brown after his arrest on February 8 on suspicion of making criminal threats against a woman. What are they waiting for??? They don’t need Rihanna to make a statement, they can file charges with or without her, so????
Representatives of Brown, 19, and Rihanna declined comment on any of the reports being made. See? Even they don’t want to comment on the absurdity of the whole situation. I’ll try and keep you posted…….

This news really saddened me. Well, everyone deserves to be happy but what happiness can you find in the hands of an abuser? Rihanna will someday have enough of the beating and walk out of the door… alive, I hope. In the meantime, she will suffer in silence as it would be too embarrassing to reveal another beating.
Maybe it’s time I explain to my little girls (who adore Rihanna) that this is not the right path to take.

Not a fan of either, in fact would not know who they are except for the publicity. I don’t understand why Rihanna went back to a man who will only use her as his punching bag again and again. I agree that is shows the youngsters who look up to them that it’s alright to hit and be hit, when in fact it’s not. Reminds me of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, we really don’t know all that she endured at his hands, but from the look of how badly that relationship aged her, it probably wasn’t any better than what we are hearing today from this mismatched couple. It’s a shame that she went back to him, and that he had the lack of courage to hit her in the first place. Thanks for writing this up.

If there’s any truth to all that Karma stuff that the Hindus speak of, he’ll dump her for someone who, unbeknownst to him, will have great expertise in Ultimate Fighting. He deserves nothing more than to have his testicles stomped on by an enraged and empowered R+B singer.
